The Wormhole Project is committed to global competence by providing tools and resources in preparing individuals and organizations to navigate cultural worlds.
So why this name? Truly as Marchall McLuhan envisioned the global village, through the web 2.0 technologies and projected transportation technoloies, we are everywhere, all the time. Borrowing from physics, we are using the metaphor/analogy of the wormhole to explain this real-time phenomenon. The problem of course is that though we can be everywhere, we do not necessarily relate, or navigate the cultural worlds we meet. Those who remember Startrek understand the ease of travel and the conflicts that ensued with meeting new people in new places.
